If you know anyone else that's filled out the survey but isn't on my friends list, let me know. There was some confusion yesterday as to the purpose of this venture, so I'm going to explain the rules again:

Rules:

• You can use fictional characters or real people
  
• You cannot use characters/people that other contestants have used
  
• You cannot use characters/people more than once from the same grouping (i.e. same TV show, same movie)
  
• Your chosen character/person must have killed a living thing (person, animal, etc.) or caused the death of one or more people, at least once - either fictionally or in reality.
  
• Stick to the defined poistions (don't make up your own)
  

What's the point of this?

Because I obviously I have nothing better to do at work. The idea comes from ancient conversations orochiserge and I used to have in AIM chatrooms. I at least thought it would be fun for us to debate the various entires and decide who is the most badass. I mean, while you check LiveJournal 47 times a day like we all do, you might as well have something interesting to read :P

If enough people come up with lists, I'll create a bracket with the choices, and you all can vote for the winners. Each character/person will be assigned a point value based upon how often they win, and at the end whoever has the most characters/people in the final roster will win the Hell Draft 2006 Grand Prize - a 12 month paid LJ account, plus a commemorative trophy.

So fill out your entry now! It's easy, fun, and will at least prevent you from doing actual work for a while.

I know a lot of people have other things going on, and that it's a busy month. However, I'll still throw it out there that anyone is welcome to come to my graduation on Thursday.

When: Thursday, May 18th. 7:30pm - 9:00pm

If you do come, be sure you're in the Patriot Center by 7:30pm. I know it will probably be long and boring, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few friendly faces in the crowd. If you do want to come, please let me know and I'll give you directions and tell you how to meet up with my cheering section. I'm sure we'll all be going out to dinner afterwards too.

Regardless of the ceremony everyone is also welcome to my graduation party on the 27th. More details to come about that after the wedding.

Compared to my previous arrangement, which was a enclosed room that got incredibly hot everyday at 3pm, my new office overlooks the majestic 24-hour McDonalds, amongst over things, so I can watch McDrama unviel before my eyes.

Also, I now have an air conditioner right next to my desk. HEAVEN.

I am going to eat with some people at this new burger place today in Falls Church, called Elevation Burger. I here good things. I will report my findings.

Well, the worst of it is over. Besides actually unpacking and organizing, the move is complete. Once again, thanks to ivy_fairchance, lilinthra, orochiserge, rishu, blackroseshiori, tsujichan, and xevo. You guys made a seemingly annoying and bothersome task manageable. I'll be sure to make it up to you somehow soon.

So everything is winding down once again. I have a big trip to Orlando at the end of February for a trade show. I have to get suits and everything. I don't think I've ever owned a suit. But thankfully my work is giving me up to $300 towards a few. I love my job. It's funny, because our entire company is going there for a whole week, so I'm sure the support calls will rack up.

I've been seeing this girl Christine. She's sweet and funny, and we have a bunch in common, especially personality-wise. The whole thing came up out of the blue, and I didn't expect to dig her this much. But it's good, and we'll see how it goes. I'm just taking it really slow right now.

Next up on the list - Serge and Cristi's wedding! I have to start planning the bachelor party soon *evil grin*

But before that, I'll finally graduate. And I'm going to walk, just because I might as well. But it's more about me drinking beer out of a trophy wearing a toga than anything else.

I'm going to clean my apartment tonight I guess. And starting packing. It should be incredibly exciting. People should come help me :P

You know what would be nice? If I could get my damn mail. And not have to deal with unnecessary, pointless drama.

Things are going well. Work is fine, though it's been rather slow lately. But I'm not complaining. I love being on salary.

Looking forward to moving in with Jess at the end of the month. Hopefully this will be the last move I do for a while, though I always manage to say that. We'll have fun living together - she's just as insane as I am. Plus I'm bound to see her naked at some point.

I guess I start school again in a couple weeks, if you could even call it that. I'm slightly dissapointed by the fact that I have to retake the "class-o'-doom", but one class isn't exactly backbreaking. And I decided since I'm graduating in the spring, I will actually walk. So everyone can come to my ceremony, and drink to the God of War afterwards.

I've been using my free time wisely for the most part, and I've started exercising again. This time I actually won't quit. Overall, I am feeling good about alot of things. Having no more pressure when it comes to school (and again, one class won't hurt), and working normal hours with great people has done wonders for me. On a day by day basis, I'm actually more happy than I've been in years.

Not much else to speak of. I've been very musical lately (as you can see) since I got my iPod.

Work has been slow lately, but not that I am complaining. I stopped by my old Nextel store during lunch today, and come to find they are closing it down soon because they don't get any business. It's not surprising, but it is rather funny.

I am bored at work. I stole this meme from blackroseshiori. But I've modified it for my purposes.

I haven't updated in quite a while.

Christmas was good. My friends and family hooked me up with some really nice stuff. orochiserge nabbed me a ForceFX Luke ROTJ Lightsaber, xevo creatively got me a craplaod of Star Trek books, my parents got me a 30GB iPod Video, and I got more cool stuff from everyone else. Everyone made me feel very loved, and I'm glad to have the people in my life that I do. I'd be lost without them.

My new job has been fun and lax so far. We went to Dave and Buster's last week during the day, where I won like 15 things out of those grabby claw machines with money provided by the company. Everyone there is really nice and laid back, and while it's still sorta tech support, I actually don't mind it because of the enviroment I am in. I'm sure it will get busy and have it's moments, but this coming year they plan to send a few people to England (along with a entire company trip to Orlando), so I hope to snag that.

Speaking of next year, I am waiting it's arrival. It's funny how you can have so many hopes and dreams for things, and the exact opposite happens. 2005 was the exact inverse, the "bizzaro" version if you will, of what I thought would happen. That's the way it spins though. I was looking at a list I wrote last year of things to accomplish this year, and I thought about seeing what I actually accomplished and what I didn't. But the dynamic of what I wrote back then has changed so much that it doesn't even apply anymore. I am a very different person than I was a year ago. I'm a bit wiser, much more calm and understanding, but I still try hard to let go of things I can't control.

So, here's to a fresh start.

I'm starting 2006 with no hopes or expectations. While 2005 was certainly the worst year in recent memory, it taught me a lot, and I can at least be thankful for that much. For the upcoming year, there are things I can (and will) take control of, like losing all the weight I've gained in gluttony and depression this year. And there are things I have to learn to let go of, like trying so hard to have someone to love again. But beyond that, I have to just see what happens, because that's all I can do.

B-O-R-E-D today. Not much going on, and it's too cold to go outside. I even exercised for christ's sake. Actually, I did like 4 times this week. Hopefully I am getting back on track, because it's time to lose my excess poundage. I play World of Warcraft too much and accomplish very little. I'm gonna cancel my account, once again.

What's been going on with me? Stuff. I do things with people and go places, but never write about it. Probably because most of the things I do are with people that already read this.

I watched Unbreakable with Jessica last night for nostalgia purposes (we saw it in theaters back in the day) and ate Arby's. Did I mention there's an Arby's like 5 minutes from her/my new place? Yeah, that'll be nice. I should probably start gradually moving my crap over there so there's less on moving day. I have to dissasemble and reassmeble my Star Destroyer again. Joy.

Richard Pyor died. I'm going to go freebase some coacine in his name.

I have nothing of use to say. Things have been really dull, and will continue to be until I start my new job.

I made an Amazon wishlist, if somone can't think of what to get me for Christmas. Just search under ljohnso1 at gmu dot edu and you'll find it.

Now, I must find some pants to put on. Maybe.

Well, it's official: I won't be graduating this semester.

My math teacher said it's "very, very unlikely" that I will pass (seeing how my grade right now is a good ol F), even if I do well on the final exam. I'll still give the final a shot, and I will at least take it out of principal. It's like finishing the last leg of a race, even though you know you've lost.

Oh well. You win some, you lose some, you know?

Another semester won't kill me, seeing how I'll just be taking one class. Maybe since it'll be the spring anyway, I'll actually go to the ceremony. We'll see. Anyways, that means my mega-spectacular-uber-awesome graduation party has to be put on hold, because I don't feel like throwing a "darn, I almost made it but not quite" party :P

But things are looking up otherwise. I'll start my nice new job soon, and I'll be moving into a cool new place with a good friend.
